SHINE
Inspired by Nelson Mandela’s 1994 Inaugural Speech
Our biggest fear is being powerful beyond measure
It is our light not our darkness that scares us and
This light shines bright inside each and every one of us
Yes it is our light not our darkness that scares us and
This light shines bright inside each and every one of us
So shine, shine, shine, shine your light
Shine, shine, shine, shine it bright
This light is like a muscle or your brain
The more you use it the more you gain
And your potential capacity will shoot sky high and you will see
This glow grow seven fold as you display your generosity
So let's all stand and be free and set this light on fire and
Shine, shine, shine
We ask, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented?
But actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God
And we were all born to make manifest all of His glory that's inside of us
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that others won't feel inferior to you and me
Nothing enlightened about playing small, it does not serve this world
You've got to shine, shine your light, oh and shine it bright
And your presence will liberate everybody automatically
When you shine, shine, shine
